Organisations must ensure they have adequate evacuation arrangements in place in case of fire. Training is a way of   demonstrating competence and meeting legal requirements for staff who are nominated fire wardens.

Suitable for

All staff nominated as Fire Wardens or their line managers.

Learning Objectives

Successful completion of training programme, the delegate will be able to:

  •   Understand the role of a fire warden in maintaining fire safety and assisting in safe evacuation

Exam Format

No assessment required although delegates can be given a short multiple choice test paper on request.

  •   Effects and behaviour of smoke
  •   Fire safety principles
  •   Types of extinguisher and their uses
  •   Fire warden duties
  •   Table top exercise – evacuation procedures
